BEFORE & AFTER CARE
Eyelash Preparation
If you are planning on getting eyelash extensions for the first time, then take note of the following.
Preparation is paramount to the success of the application of eyelash extensions.
Prior to arriving at your appointment, you should thoroughly remove any mascara or liquid eye liner you may have on your eyes. If not properly removed, the bonding agent may mix with the makeup residue, making it near impossible to apply lashes successfully.
Contact lenses cannot be worn during the treatment, as your eyes are closed the entire time. It is advisable that you bring with you, your contact lens case so that you may store them while your treatment goes on.
Lashes should not be permed, curled or tinted immediately before the treatment. If you permed or tinted your lashes, it is advisable to wait 7-10 days, before you have extensions applied, in order to ensure there is no reaction between the tint/perming solution and the eyelash extension glue.

Eyelash After Care
Aftercare is about protecting your eyelash investment and getting the most out of each and every eyelash application. On this page, we provide you the information required to maintain your eyelashes at their best, for longer
DO's
1. Be careful not to get your eyelashes caught on clothes when you are dressing and undressing, or on towels when you have showered.
2. Use an approved eyelash life extender product such as Max2 Coating Sealant. With application twice to three times a week, it helps protect the
eyelashes from moisture, humidity and prolongs the life of the eyelash between refills.
3. Keep a towel in easy reach when you shower, so that you can gently pat your eyes between washing and conditioning your hair. This saves you from
rubbing your eyes to clear your vision so that you can locate the conditioner.
4. Gently dry and shape your eyelashes after showering, using your hair dryer on the lowest setting. Hold the dryer at least 20cm away from your face and
gently coax the eyelashes with your index finger in an upward motion, until they are dry.
5. Use Makeup & Protien Remover Wipes to remove makeup.
6. Book your next eyelash refill at 2 - 4 week intervals in order to maintain your optimum eyelash effect
DONT'S
1. Use waterproof mascara on your eyelashes. A water soluble mascara or one designed specifically for eyelash extensions is fine to use, although you’ll probably find that you no longer require mascara.
2. Wet your eyelashes for 24 hours after your procedure. This will give the glue an appropriate amount of time to cure. This means you should also
avoid steam rooms, saunas and swimming pools during that period.
3. Use cleansers, makeup removers or moisturisers that contain oil or solvents, on your eyes. These will compromise the bonding agent used to adhere to your natural eyelashes.
4. Pull your eyelash extensions off, as it will pull out your natural eyelash. If you want them removed, contact an iLash & Beauty Studio certified professional for a professional eyelash removal servicel.
5. Rub your eyes. Instead, you should get used to patting your eyes gently, which is much better for the eyelashes and the sensitive skin around the eyes.
6. Perm or tint your eyelash extensions
